Bible Question: If some one made an eimission of semen or nocturnal emission, did he make sin.He made an eimission of semen without willingly .How he can control it? |
Bible Answer: Greetings berhane! Yes, Deuteronomy 23:10 and Leviticus 15:16 speak of 'nocturnal emission' among men, and the very next verse gives a directive for handling such an occurrence (go bathe himself with water [v. 11]). However, no mention of 'consequences' or sin is made, it simply states, "he may not reenter the camp." So I would conclude that a 'nocturnal emission' is not a sin, if dealt with sanitarily and responsibly. You see no mention of condemnation for women when they go through their natural menstrual cycles (Genesis 18:11, Leviticus 15:19-30; 20:18), so I cannot see how a man could be condemned for a natural function of his body, if it is dealt with in dignity and responsibly. Blessings to you, Makarios |
