Bible Question:
GEORGEG MY NAME IS RODGERG AND THE OTHER PART OF MY QUESTION IS THAT SAYING THAT EVERY SEVEN YEARS THAT WE SHOULD NOT OR DO NOT HAVE TO PAY OUR DEBTS,OR IS THAT SOMETHING THAT SOME CHURCH USE TO KEEP US HAPPY... THANK AGAIN RODGERG |
Bible Answer: Greetings Rodger G! Please see Exodus 23:10-11 and Leviticus 25:1-7. What you have found is the part of Scripture that describes the "Sabbatic Year", going into great detail regarding debts and possessions, so that the Israelites would have a remission of debts after 7 years, protecting them so that they would not find themselves (or their country) in an unending cycle of debt, weighed so far down in debt like we are today. Blessings to you, Makarios |
