Bible Question: can you explain what stand firm therefore gaving fastened the belt of truth around your waist and having put on the breastplate of righteousness |
Bible Answer: Hello tanajah, Good question. We need to look back to 6:10, where we are commanded to " be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might." (NASB) In vs. 14, the "belt of truth" and "breastplate of righteousness" are all personified- or found- , 'in Christ'! He is "the way , the truth, the life" (John 14:6), and He is our righteousness (2 Cor. 5:21, 1 Cor. 1:30). So, we take on the armor by trusting Christ by faith! Speaking the Truth in Love, BradK |
