Bible Question:
I heard the first part of a message on this verse today and am sure that I will not hear the last part of it. Can anyone speak to the Greek "methodeia" as it relates to 2 Corinthians 2:11 also. I am considering the ways of thinking and the "roads" or ways that the devil would lead us on. The Greek for road is "ode" and we should not be unaware of his ways. From the heart, Ray |
Bible Answer: Ray, Good to talk with you, Brother. I think it's a first:-) Here are some preliminary thoughts. The Greek word, methodeia, means to use craft or deceit of course. 1 John 2:16 comes to mind, "For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world." I hope this helps, BradK |
