AMPLIFIED 2015 | Ephesians 5:6 ¶ Let no one deceive you with empty arguments [that encourage you to sin], for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience [those who habitually sin]. [Lev 18:24, 25] |
Bible Question: My husband said he was dissatisfied with me because he said I have been distant, moody, etc. Therefore, he said he prayed to the Lord for another wife. Well, at work he met this woman and he has moved in with her. He is divorcing me because he believes God sent him this woman. My husband is 59 and she is 57. Does God at any time give another wife to a man who is still married, and is there ever a time he condones adultery? My husband is convinced that this is of god. |
Bible Answer: Justification is an amazing friend to those who would rather be comfortable then godly. I am sorry about the circumstance you find yourself in but I believe your husband heard what he wanted to hear rather than God's voice. Proverbs 20:17 states that "Bread obtained by falsehood is sweet to a man, but afterward his mouth will be filled with gravel." Justification is sweet at first but does not lead to blessing. |
