Bible Question:
did jesus go to hell and if yes then why? |
Bible Answer: Hi Moses01, Welcome to the Forum! Despite the WOF dogma to the contrary, there is no scriptural basis to support that Jesus went to hell to atone for our sins! The passage in Eph. 4:9 merely states He ( Jesus) "descended to the lower parts..." The term "lower parts" is meros not Gehenna (Gk) the commonly used word for hell in the NT. I hope this helps, BradK |
