Bible Question: Is a Christian to offer forgiveness to another Christian even though the other Christian is unrepentent about it? |
Bible Answer: Hi Mike Gold, All three answers you received were good ones, the reference is Matt 6:14-15 so you may read it yourself. Another way to look at this act of forgiveness is it does more for you than for the other fellow. It is releasing them from sin against you, so God releases you from sin against yourself. The sin of unforgiveness! That way satan has no handle on your life he can hold onto you and punish you with and neither is he able to stir strife and hold the other person either. It's a win-win situation for you both and a lose-lose situation for satan and his co-horts. Always in Christ, C.S.M. |
