Bible Question: I have been wrestling with Baptism of the Holy Spirit for some time now. I have been going to an AG church for some time now and had been raised in a SB church for all of my life. When I got to the church i attend now i heard for the first time ever about this seperate baptism. red flags went up right away. i decided to look into it and i have heard countless sermons and read many verses. to help me along on my journey of truth, can somebody hook me up with some scriptural advice?!? |
Bible Answer: Read 1Corinthians 14. Thats all I have to say. However, speaking in tongues is in no way "the evidence" of being in the Spirit, or of anything else, Love is "the evidence", tongues is just one gift amoung many. It seems the Corinthians Church was having a ball with speaking in tongues, and Paul put it in order. I agree with Paul as he states in verse 18. May God Bless and quench your thirst. |
