AMPLIFIED 2015 | Ephesians 2:8 For it is by grace [God's remarkable compassion and favor drawing you to Christ] that you have been saved [actually delivered from judgment and given eternal life] through faith. And this [salvation] is not of yourselves [not through your own effort], but it is the [undeserved, gracious] gift of God; |
Subject: what is salvation and how does it work ? |
Bible Note: Great answer!! I guess it all comes down to what you mean by being saved. If you mean you prayed a prayer, I guess it would depend on whether you prayed it with your heart, or just your mouth. When you have been born again, been transformed by the renewing of your mind,(Romans 12:2) You cannot reverse that change. Without a change, you cannot claim salvation. If you are truly saved, and then backslide or wander, God will search for you as a shepherd looking for a lost sheep. |
