AMPLIFIED 2015 | Ephesians 2:8 For it is by grace [God's remarkable compassion and favor drawing you to Christ] that you have been saved [actually delivered from judgment and given eternal life] through faith. And this [salvation] is not of yourselves [not through your own effort], but it is the [undeserved, gracious] gift of God; |
Subject: what is salvation and how does it work ? |
Bible Note: I DON'T TOTALLY AGREE WITH THE REFERENCES THAT WERE GIVEN IN RESPONSE TO YOUR QUESTION AND HERE IS WHY. HEBREWS 12: 15-17 AND 6: 6-10 TALK ABOUT LOSING A "BLESSING" NOT YOUR SALVATION. IN REV. 2" 4-5 THE LAMPSTAND IS REMOVED (WHICH IS A CHURCH) NOT YOUR SALVATION. WE MAY LOSE BLESSINGS IF WE DON'T REPENT OF OUR SIN, BUT NOT OUR SALVATION. IF WE WERE ABLE TO SAVE OURSELVES BY REPENTING, CHRIST WOULD NOT HAVE HAD TO DIE. JOHN 10: 28 -29 SAYS WE ARE UNABLE TO BE SNATCHED OUT OF THE FATHERS HAND ONCE WE ARE SAVED! PRAISE GOD!! |
