Subject: Do you have to know Christ? |
Bible Note: Matt 7:23 "And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS With this scripture in mind it's best that the lord knows us as a member of his body, full filling his purpose; rather than us thinking that we know him, and doing our own works as we deem fitting. I believe that it’s much better for God to know us, order our steps and we obey, as opposed to saying that we know him and honestly do not. Jesus said, “ Why call me lord and do not the things that I say.” Also, Jesus instructed us to let the wheat and tares grow up together, and when he returns he will do all the separating (Matt.13: 31-43). However, we are not the judges of who will enter into heaven; but God is the Judger of a soul’s final destination. For an example one could look at the thief on the cross next to Jesus, it doesn’t appears that he knew God by the lifestyle he was living, but his final destination was up to Jesus. |
