Bible Question: What if you got married too young (21)? And when you did get married you didnt understand marriage was forever, you thought it would never last but it was good enough for now. Then the time came when you just couldnt live like this anymore because of mental abuse and you get divorced. You are alone and then find the perfect potential spouse and you KNOW they are the one because they complete you like you never had been before but never thought they would ever show up in your life. You get married to them and become an even better loving christian with them and you repent every day for your previous marriage that you knew in the beginning wouldnt last but you did it anyway for selfish reasons. Will God ever forgive you and accept your 2nd marriage? |
Bible Answer: God is a God of love, forgivness, and SECOND chances...why on earth would HE not accept your marriage. If both of you are dedicated Christians then you have 1 up on the rest of the marriages out there. God says, when HE forgives you, it is as far as the east is from the west...so forget it and move on. He does not want you to remain in your guilt and shame of the first marriage. This is a fallen world and we fail HIM DAILY, so your divorce is no different than me getting ugly with someone at BiLo. Sin is sin in God's eyes, and I am sure getting divorced is the not the 'worst' thing you have ever done. Remember that just by being a decendant of Adam and Eve, you are fallen...a sinner...sinning just by being alive...His grace is sufficient! Be blessed Eph 1:7 In Him we have forgiveness according to HIS righces in GRACE! IT is ALL about Gods grace and none about how good or not good you are! |
