Bible Question: What does Paul mean when he commands each believer to "bear his own load"? |
Bible Answer: Hi Tan Flipper, The idea that I get from the reading is that we should "do our part". If we have authority then we should show it. If we have an understanding of something, we should show it to everyone, even our teachers. Galatians 5:25, "If we live by the Spirit, let us walk by the Spirit. Let us not become boastful, challenging one another, envying one another." We should "bear one another's burdens". In other words we should hear what other people have been taught or have learned; for they are sharing their thoughts and spirit and "doing their part". Does that make sense? I compared today Galatians 5:26 with Philippians 3:15. If we have different thoughts or attitudes, God will reveal that to us also. But we are to walk in the Spirit with a spirit of gentleness and living by the same standards and rules. From the heart, Ray |
