NASB | Galatians 5:17 For the flesh sets its desire against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are in opposition to one another, so that you may not do the things that you please. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Galatians 5:17 For the sinful nature has its desire which is opposed to the Spirit, and the [desire of the] Spirit opposes the sinful nature; for these [two, the sinful nature and the Spirit] are in direct opposition to each other [continually in conflict], so that you [as believers] do not [always] do whatever [good things] you want to do. |
Bible Question: why is it that men are so scared to embrace there problems? Gods people are to help others in ways that only christians know how to. Why is it so hard to find someone that you can talk to that want judge but helps when fallen? |
Bible Answer: Hi, 4GODSglory... Welcome to the forum! The fundamental answer to your question is the fallen nature of man (Galatians 5:17). When you see these dificiencies, faults, and failings in others, use it as a reminder of your own issues. Use it as a reminder to focus on Christ, rather than others. Use it as encouragement to be doing for others. In Him, Doc |
