NASB | Galatians 4:15 Where then is that sense of blessing you had? For I bear you witness that, if possible, you would have plucked out your eyes and given them to me. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Galatians 4:15 What then has become of that sense of blessing and the joy that you once had [from your salvation and your relationship with Christ]? For I testify of you that, if possible, you would have torn out your own eyes and given them to me [to replace mine]. |
Subject: Paul from the bible |
Bible Note: It is true that the Bible doesn't say much about Paul's appearance. Moreover, if the Bible says that Paul had migraine headaches, epilepsy, or a speech disability, please tell us the book, chapter, and verse where it plainly and clearly says that. 2 Corinthians 12:7 does not say Paul had "thorns" (plural) in the flesh. It says he was given "a thorn" (singular) in the flesh. 2 Corinthians 12 does not tell us what Paul's thorn (singular) in the flesh was. For you to assert that it was migraine headaches or epilepsy or a speech disability is to go beyond what is written in 2 Corinthians 12. 2 Cor. 12:7 And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure. |
