AMPLIFIED 2015 | Galatians 3:24 with the result that the Law has become our tutor and our disciplinarian to guide us to Christ, so that we may be justified [that is, declared free of the guilt of sin and its penalty, and placed in right standing with God] by faith. |
Bible Question:
Hi, today is about the Ten Commandments. It says we must keep these all. What are we to do if we don't keep atleast one of those and we gave our life to Jesus, are we sapose to repent and ask for forginess and move on towards God more if we were to do one? What if we do one and then do it again, do we just keep on asking for forginess and repent? Is that really keeping the Ten Commandments, and will we really get into heaven then, if we don't keep some of them? Thank You |
Bible Answer: Hi Jason, I would read the book of Romans as it is the "theology of the NT". This will give you a basis to understand how you are justified and your standing "In Christ". Two verses will answer your questions. 1. Gal 3:24 - Therefore the Law has become our tutor to lead us to Christ, so that we may be justified by faith. The purpose of the Law is to lead us to Christ. 2. Eph 1:7 - In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace. Your forgiveness as a believer is conditioned upon faith and being "In Him". I could add one final verse and that is, 2 Cor. 5:7, "for we walk by faith, not by sight--" I hope this helps, BradK |
