AMPLIFIED 2015 | Galatians 3:24 with the result that the Law has become our tutor and our disciplinarian to guide us to Christ, so that we may be justified [that is, declared free of the guilt of sin and its penalty, and placed in right standing with God] by faith. |
Bible Question: What is the proper pronunciation of the Greek word paidagogos? It was in our S.S. lesson this morning. Thank you Brotherlynn |
Bible Answer: Greetings Brotherlynn! Different grammars will give one slightly different pronunciations, but the one I was trained in would use the following pronunciation: pai - 'ai' like in 'aisle'. So, the first syllable sounds like 'pie'. da - 'a' short 'a' as in 'ah'. go - 'o' long 'o' as in 'oh'. So, the third syllable sounds likes 'go' in English. gos - 'o' short 'o' as in 'top'. So, the fouth syllable sounds like the 'gos' in 'gossamer'. This word has four syllables, divided as above. I hope this helps! Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |
