NASB | Galatians 2:20 "I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Galatians 2:20 "I have been crucified with Christ [that is, in Him I have shared His crucifixion]; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body I live by faith [by adhering to, relying on, and completely trusting] in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me. |
Bible Question: I've heard that we don't follow the 10 Commandments anymore, instead we follow a "Moral Law". If we don't follow God's Morals than whose morals do we follow? |
Bible Answer: We are learning to live and move and have our being in Christ by a new and living way written on our hearts not in an outward written code. As we do this we should be falling in line with the 10 commandments, but we do not walk by these outward rules or any other regulation. As we learn Christ and how to walk in the Spirit we become more obedient through the empowerment of his spirit. See Romans 4-8,and Gal 2:20 Romans 4 we are righteous because of faith in the blood shed by Jesus for our sins and the penalty of the law has been removed. (Eternal damnation for not obeying the 10 commandments) No outward code or LAW can do that. I hope this helps! Love, Tim Hines |
