NASB | Galatians 2:20 "I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Galatians 2:20 "I have been crucified with Christ [that is, in Him I have shared His crucifixion]; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body I live by faith [by adhering to, relying on, and completely trusting] in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me. |
Bible Question: I've heard that we don't follow the 10 Commandments anymore, instead we follow a "Moral Law". If we don't follow God's Morals than whose morals do we follow? |
Bible Answer: Scripture ... Matt 5:17-19, 7:12, 22:36-40; Acts 13:15, 24:14 ... Many misunderstand this. We still need to follow the 10 Commandments ... maany think we can skip the fourth, since it wasn't mentioned in the NT. Also, when Jesus talked about "the Law and the prophets" (Matt 5:17-19, 7:12, 22:36-40) ... He never said to stop following them. The Law was more than the 10 Commandments. And are we to stop following the prophets ... have they been done away with? There still is prophecy that has not been fulfilled. We see at least twice about the Law and the prophets being taught in Acts (13:15, 24:14). I also think following the "law of Christ" is tougher. Searcher |
