AMPLIFIED 2015 | Galatians 2:20 "I have been crucified with Christ [that is, in Him I have shared His crucifixion]; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body I live by faith [by adhering to, relying on, and completely trusting] in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me. |
Subject: Starve the flesh, feed the Spirit |
Bible Note: Prazan I just had to print out your note as a constant reminder. In the Spirit, I know that no truer words could have been written other than those of the word itself, but my flesh is, Oh so weak! Although I have been a lifelong believer and am currently studying for a degree in theology, I have only within the past year, truly devoted myself to a sincere study of the Word, as I so dearly wish I had done so many years ago. I have such a hard time when it comes to developing, what I would consider to be a “good prayer life.” Oh I pray; I take my confessions, praises, concerns and desires to He who is faithful and just. Yet, only too often I feel that I am on the verge of being guilty of senseless babble. Although I avoid repetition, it seems that I am simply unable to put into words what is truly in my heart. By His word and faith, I know that my Lord knows my heart, yet I have such a sense of lacking. Your post conveyed more than simple words when I read it. Please take a moment to share your thoughts concerning my concern noted herein. In Christ we all lack something. Salvation is attained through mercy, yet once salvation is attained, there is so much more that is available. I am a simple vessel. I will not be satisfied here on this earth until my cup is filled to overflowing, so that I may serve Him to my fullest. Sincerely desirous, and in brotherly love George |
