Bible Question: Hebrews 13:2 warns us that we should not forget to entertain strangers, for doing so some people have entertained angels. How is this so if God now speaks to us through his Word. Can we expect angels to appear at the door? |
Bible Answer: Gal 1:8 what these judaizers were doing was so bad that Paul used strong words t denounce their actions. he said that even if an angel from heaven comes preaching another message, let that angel be cursed forever. if an angel came and preached another message he would not be from heaven, no matter how he looked(2 Corin 11:14-15) Paul warns that Satan and his angels can turn themselves into angels of light. hear he invokes a curse on an angel who spreads a false gospel, a fitting response to an emissary of hell. Paul uses strong language because he is dealing with a life-and death issue.(Life Application Bible) |
