Bible Question: Why did Paul bother to recount his prior acts of persecution against believers? |
Bible Answer: Tan Flipper, To find the answer to this you have to back up to the begining of the chapter and look at what Paul is addressing. In this letter Paul is adressing there are people who have come into the church of the Galatians preaching a return to the law rather than grace a well as questioning Paul's authority as an aposel. So what Paul is doing is reasserting the doctrin of grace and his apostleship. He is laying the foundation for the teachings to come in this letter. I would encourage an indepth study of this book for it really brings light to living the Christan Life in the grace of our Great God and Savior Jesus Christ. Hope this helps.
