NASB | 2 Corinthians 5:9 Therefore we also have as our ambition, whether at home or absent, to be pleasing to Him. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | 2 Corinthians 5:9 Therefore, whether we are at home [on earth] or away from home [and with Him], it is our [constant] ambition to be pleasing to Him. |
Bible Question: I think Paul said, "to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord Jesus". I gather that is why he did not fear death, which I think is pretty cool. I'm having a tough time finding it in the Bible. I guess I don't have the correct key words to complete a successful search. Can you help me. Thanks, Wordnut. |
Bible Answer: Dear Wordnut, The scripture you're referring to is 2 Cor. 5:9. It may also be of interest to note that Paul had written previously in 2 Cor 1:8,"...We were under great pressure, far beyond our ability to endure, so that we despaired even of life." I hope this helps, BradK |
