Bible Question:
so you would say that "death" means death of the body and that the soul or spirit exists apart from the body.. umm in the presence of God/heaven? this would also mean the the resurrection at the 2nd comming is only a ressurection of the body right? |
Bible Answer: Scripture ... 1 Cor 15:12-58, 1 The 4:13-18 ... Danieln, greetings. You ask ... So you would say that "death" means death of the body and that the soul or spirit exists apart from the body.. umm in the presence of God/heaven? - The answer is yes. If you have seen a dead body you are aware that it is without a soul or spirit. Based on the passages cited and those above this thought is supported. You ask ... this would also mean the the resurrection at the 2nd comming is only a ressurection of the body right? -That depends on your semantics. Some believe the rapture takes place before the tribulation and Christ doesn't come all the way to earth ... He does return to conquer the earth at a latter time. Another view is that He comes once when we are raptured and to conquer. There are other views. But, the most important thing is that we will have new bodies. Study the passages that have been cited. Hope this helps, Searcher |
