NASB | 2 Corinthians 12:10 Therefore I am well content with weaknesses, with insults, with distresses, with persecutions, with difficulties, for Christ's sake; for when I am weak, then I am strong. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | 2 Corinthians 12:10 So I am well pleased with weaknesses, with insults, with distresses, with persecutions, and with difficulties, for the sake of Christ; for when I am weak [in human strength], then I am strong [truly able, truly powerful, truly drawing from God's strength]. |
Subject: scripture on why we go through trials |
Bible Note: Amen, Lionheart, One of my favorite verses, that I try to keep hidden in my heart (meaning to remember and know by heart) is, Hebrews 12:8 "But if you are without discipline, of which all have become partakers, then you are illegitimate children and not sons." What a comfort it is to know when we go through discipline that, we do so not because we are not son's, but because we are son's, son's of the most high, mighty, and sovereign God. John |
