Bible Question: Is it alright for dating couples to stay the night together if they just sleep and don't do anything sexual? I do this with my girlfriend that I have been dating a year and a half and we have never done anything sexual while staying together and are always fully clothed. I think that it is ok because it isn't causing either of us to stumble. Am I wrong for thinking this? |
Bible Answer: Greetings Jeremy, I agree with the others - but I wanted to add another verse that I believe is important to consider: Mat 5:27-28 "You have heard that it was said, Never commit adultery. But I can guarantee that whoever looks with lust at a woman has already committed adultery in his heart." You don't have to commit the act of fornication to have commited the sin - thoughts of fornication are sin in the eyes of our Lord. I also want to make an observation. Since you thought the question important enough to ask on the forum could it possibly be that your heart is convicting you that it it wrong? prayon |
