NASB | 1 Corinthians 8:1 Now concerning things sacrificed to idols, we know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge makes arrogant, but love edifies. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | 1 Corinthians 8:1 Now about food sacrificed to idols, we know that we all have knowledge [concerning this]. Knowledge [alone] makes [people self-righteously] arrogant, but love [that unselfishly seeks the best for others] builds up and encourages others to grow [in wisdom]. |
Bible Question:
OK, did you read the link that I posted earlier in my original question?? In this page is a very strong statement: Mat. 4:4… "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by EVERY WORD that proceeds out of the mouth of God." |
Bible Answer: No I didn't. I'll have to read that and get back to you on it later. But the scriptures I gave you are quite clear. We are allowed to eat anything we want now. The dietary law is not required anymore. |
