NASB | 1 Corinthians 7:5 Stop depriving one another, except by agreement for a time, so that you may devote yourselves to prayer, and come together again so that Satan will not tempt you because of your lack of self-control. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | 1 Corinthians 7:5 Do not deprive each other [of marital rights], except perhaps by mutual consent for a time, so that you may devote yourselves [unhindered] to prayer, but come together again so that Satan will not tempt you [to sin] because of your lack of self-control. |
Bible Question: What should a man do if his wife has deprived him for years. Her reason being that she doesn't feel like it. |
Bible Answer: mpa, Get involved with your wife. This situation did not arise overnight, it's been going on for sometime. However don't let the devil rob you of your blessings and throw you marriage away by committing sin (adultery). The turn around in this situation might not come overnight, but stay in there and work on your marriage, in the long run you will be happy that you did, and God will honor your prayers. There may be others who will give you encouragement, but it starts with you. God will never leave you nor forsake you, His plans for you are not to harm you. God bless |
