Bible Answer: Hi Easter30, Rom 1 is referring to same sex relationships which are always wrong. You and your spouse are to be available for each exclusively. 1 Cor 7:5 says, "Stop depriving one another, except by agreement for a time, so that you may devote yourselves to prayer, and come together again so that Satan will not tempt you because of your lack of self-control." If pornography is involved that person is deriving something sexually from it that they should be getting from the marriage partner. Your mate should love you, and part of that is to respect how YOU feel. If you don't like something then they should limit themselves to something you ARE comfortable with and not force you. Rom 14:23 says, "and whatever is not from faith is sin". But I don't know of anything that is forbidden between a husband and a wife. Absolutely you have a right to feel jealous. Pornography is a real problem with some people (mostly men but sometimes women too). It can be like an adiction and be very hard to give up. If they don't or won't stop you might need to get help from a third party like a counselor or pastor. A book you can give to a guy would be "Every Man's Battle", I think it is by Henry Cloud. tortoise |
