Bible Question: I am married...I have been for a long time and it has been very rough at times but I always stuck it out. My husband has cheated on me many, many times years ago but lately I'm PRETTY sure he has been faithful. Actually he has been very good to me lately and would give me whatever I wanted...but he is not walking the Christian walk that I am and I am getting tired of being alone...even though I am married. I want to be with someone who has the same faith as me, who prays, goes to church, wants to be with the Lord and have the Lord in their life. My question is...do I still have grounds for divorce or not. I have been taught that divorce is not even in the picture. The only way to be free to start over is after death..others tell me that I do have grounds for divorce because he was unfaithful and that God will not look down on me if I do. Please help me understand this better and where I can go in the Bible. Thank you. |
