Bible Question:
OK I don't want to offend anyone and it didn't say anywhere on here stuff about adult questions, but this is definately an adult question so if u r not an adult preferrably a married adult is who i want to talk to, please disregard this question thank you. To my question, my husband and I are having a discussion regarding oralsex. He believes that it is sodomy and therefore a sin and should not b performed i on the other hand do not agree with him, we have both searched the Bible but can't seem to find an answer to our question. If anyone can answer this, is oral sex sodomy, if it is then is it considered wrong for married couples to engage in oral sex, and if it is not sodomy, is there any sin attached to it. I am of course talking about this happening between a married couple. Thank You |
Bible Answer: There are many verses in the bible that tell us how a husband and wife should treat each other. 1 Corinthians 7:3-6 says..."3The husband should fulfill his marital duty to his wife, and likewise the wife to her husband. 4The wife's body does not belong to her alone but also to her husband. In the same way, the husband's body does not belong to him alone but also to his wife. 5Do not deprive each other except by mutual consent and for a time, so that you may devote yourselves to prayer. Then come together again so that Satan will not tempt you because of your lack of self-control." The reason you can't find any references to sodomy in the bible is because that is a word made up by man to describe things they felt were obscene. I.E. things they felt must have been going on in Sodom. So the legal definition of sodomy would include oral sex, but I can think of no biblical laws that forbid any sex acts between husband and wife. All you need do is read the Song of Soloman to give you and idea of the passion that God wants btween a man and wife. You and your husband should seek some Christian based counseling. If your church does not offer this I'm quite certain you can find one that does. Just make sure you are dealing withg someone that is liscensed. |
