NASB | 1 Corinthians 7:17 ¶ Only, as the Lord has assigned to each one, as God has called each, in this manner let him walk. And so I direct in all the churches. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | 1 Corinthians 7:17 ¶ Only, let each one live the life which the Lord has assigned him, and to which God has called him [for each person is unique and is accountable for his choices and conduct, let him walk in this way]. This is the rule I make in all the churches. |
Bible Question: ok this is an addition to my previous question..how do I let go of someone that I love so much without having feelings of anger, sadness, loneliness, and unappreciation w/in me?? what scriptures can I read to help me in my daily walk during this rough battle...especially when there's a child in the picture???? |
Bible Answer: God's day to you, Blessed and Highly Favored, It is important that you seek wise Christian counsellor. Go to your pastor and ask him for advice - if he can help or know where to go. It is true even more, since there is a child. This is more important than my sharing my experience. I presume you aren't married ... else, my experience is mute. We were in love. My mother even thought she was the one for me to marry. While the breakup was hard, I was willing to let her go. Love is a decision, more than a feeling. So I needed to chose to stop loving her. I wanted the very best for her, which may be key. Not seeing (or contacting) her was needed. I rememered who we both love more than we loved than each other, so I that helped, too. I didn't rush into another relationship ... in fact, I waited more than a year to date. I wasn't angry or sad ... I was a little lonely ... I knew I was appreciated. Searcher |
