Bible Question: Is staying in a marriage were anger is out of control biblical |
Bible Answer: Scripture ... Due 24:1-4; Mat 19:4-9; Mar 10:2-10; 1Co 7:10-16 ... The are no grounds that demand divorce. In Matthew 19:4-9 divorce was granted because the hardness of the heart of the "innocent" one (Due 24:1-4). When Paul addressed the issue (1Co 7:10-16), he qualified it as his view, not the Lord's (vs 12) ... and divorce was permitted if the spouse was not a believer and they start left and they filed for divorce ... then the Christian was free to marry. Divorce is permitted for only these two reasons ... some say only the latter ... and soem may exclude the latter, since it was just Paul's view. Searcher |
