Bible Question:
Ok, I really need some help with this one. My Pastor preached a message on marriage, divorce, and ready..remarriage. I agree with him. My question is to those who may know, would these verses give permission for divorce, remarraige or both? Matt.19:8-9 - Sexual Immorality. I Cor.7:15 -an unbeliever leaves their Christian spouse. II Cor.5:17 - New creature in Christ. The blood covers everything. AMEN. Romans 7:1-3 gives death as ok to remarry, that's easy, but do the verses above give permission. Look at Deut -24:1-3, and I Cor.7:27-28. Let me know your thoughts. Love in Christ (Elijah my sons name, and my screen name, My name is Jackson.) |
Bible Answer: Matt 19:8-9 - Sexual Immorality ... because of the hardness of the heart of the "innocent" person. It is not true permission. I Cor.7:15 - an unbeliever leaves their Christian spouse. ... The unbeliever must initiate the separation and divorce. This is the only true grounds for being free ... for a Christian. WE can never say another person is an unbelieve.r II Cor.5:17 - New creature in Christ. The blood covers everything. AMEN. If one is divorced, then becomes a Christian, they may remarry. Romans 7:1-3 gives death as ok to remarry ... Yes |
