Bible Question: where in the bible can we find an explanation not to use soft drugs, or not dangerous drugs? |
Bible Answer: I'm not quite sure I understand your question. For soft drugs, do you mean like asprin, caffeine, and tobacco? I picked 1 Cor 6:12 to focus on the last part. "All things are lawful for me, but I will not be mastered by anything". Let me draw two applications, 1) If something is controlling you - with one "swig" -(say, if it lowers your inhibitions) it is mastering you, and is wrong. 2) Also, consider any type of addiction (drugs or otherwise - even food, computer games, tv and such) means the drug (or anything else) is your master. (cf. Matt 6:24) Is this the kind of thing you were looking for? |
