Bible Question: What letter is Paul referring to here? |
Bible Answer: Blessings Blaze! Nelson's NKJV Study Bible states, "'My epistle' refers to an earlier letter from Paul to the Corinthians that no longer survives." Zondervan's NASB Study Bible states, "'I wrote you in my letter.' Paul here clarifies a previous letter (one not preserved). The Corinthians mistook that letter to mean that, on separating from sin, they should disassociate themselves from all immoral persons, including non-Christian people. Instead, Paul meant that they should separate from immoral persons in the church who claimed to be Christian brothers (vv. 10-11)." Thats pretty much all that I can find concerning this 'lost letter'.. Nolan |
