NASB | 1 Corinthians 3:15 If any man's work is burned up, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | 1 Corinthians 3:15 But if any person's work is burned up [by the test], he will suffer the loss [of his reward]; yet he himself will be saved, but only as [one who has barely escaped] through fire. [Job 23:10] |
Subject: what does it mean to suffer loss? |
Bible Note: Just another note on the carnal Christian. He is the one who walks in the flesh and not in the spirit. He desires the praise of men, rather than the praise of God. He is not a servant, but wants to be praised and waited on. Not a pretty sight. I don't understand how carnal Christians can be so. They surely must read the Word and know the truth. How can they act so? It is a puzzlement to me! Just a thought. Janae |
