AMPLIFIED 2015 | 1 Corinthians 3:15 But if any person's work is burned up [by the test], he will suffer the loss [of his reward]; yet he himself will be saved, but only as [one who has barely escaped] through fire. [Job 23:10] |
Subject: What it means to me ... |
Bible Note: BUT while my salvation remains, I will have no work (reward or offering) to offer to the Christ who won me the salvation. What an empty feeling that is going to be, if I stand there before Him, empty handed. There use to be a saying ' ....only what is done for Christ will last.' I want to be able to receive a reward so I can offer it to the One who died for me and won my salvation. |
