Bible Question:
Hi - David here. I'm new to the forum and a born again christian that's been "out of the fold" for about 7 years. I have a question on my heart that I've searched for in 'Answered Questions' for about 15 mins but cannot find it so ... here it goes. Does anyone have thoughts on if satan can hear our thoughts? I find that I can pray or think about God and Jesus Christ in my life (issues say to do with it or living my life in/ for Him) and thoughts very contrary come to mind (doubt, rationalisation, desire for another direction, e.t.c.). Often these thoughts seem a lot like those not my own but more from the evil one. I had a wonderful mentor in Christ when I first became saved 10 or 11 years ago. His wife is also a mentor in Christ and told me that NO - satan canNOT hear our thoughts and that it is backed up in scripture. Ezekiel or Isaiah? That rings a bell with what she said but I don't know for sure. Does anyone have thoughts on this or scripture? It would be greatly appreciated! Glad to be back in the fold and thanks for any response/ help. David |
Bible Answer: Hey David, welcome to the Kingdom. I would have to say that I do not beleive Satan can read your thoughts. I do realize that he can inject thoughts into your mind, we are to cast down those vain imaginations and evey thought that exalts itself against the knowledge of God 2 Cor. 10:5 So no, I don't believe he can read our thoughts, but he does try to persude us, and make us think what he wants us to. HOpe this helped, Mitch |
