Bible Question: How do you know you are saved? |
Bible Answer: Hi Mark, Well, how about a short answer to an involved question? First, 1 Cor. 2:11-13 : "10 For to us God revealed them through the Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God. 11 For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so the thoughts of God no one knows except the Spirit of God. 12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may know the things freely given to us by God, 13 which things we also speak, not in words taught by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Spirit, combining spiritual thoughts with spiritual words." Then, 1 John 4:15: "15 Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God." "11 And the testimony is this, that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. 12 He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life. 13 These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life." (1 John 5:11-13) Last, here should be some evidence of the fruit of the Spirit as in Gal. 5:22-23. I know that this is a short answer, but time is tight right now. I hope this helps, BradK |
