AMPLIFIED 2015 | 1 Corinthians 15:58 ¶ Therefore, my beloved brothers and sisters, be steadfast, immovable, always excelling in the work of the Lord [always doing your best and doing more than is needed], being continually aware that your labor [even to the point of exhaustion] in the Lord is not futile nor wasted [it is never without purpose]. |
Bible Question: what does the bible says about commitment and can you be commited to serving the lord but not be prepare to do a task |
Bible Answer: Hello steelersmaze I think this verse says it pretty well. Commitment is an act of the will. This does not guarantee instant ability. In anyone's job there is a continual need to learn new skills or information in order to perform well. It's the same in serving God. We take an active part in being in the Scriptures. God sanctifies in us in His truth--His Word (John 17:17). Steve |
