Bible Question: why is death hard to deal with |
Bible Answer: Christians usually look forward to the next life, and to being with Christ, and they are not afraid of death. They say, "O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?" They say, "The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ". They believe like Paul, that it is better to die, because it means they will be absent from the body and present with the Lord. Sometimes they can't quite make up their minds about leaving, though, because they believe they are needed here, to lead others to the Savior, and to answer questions like this. |
