Bible Note: Hi Brad, I could drop a couple of names, but these are not men you would know. I am not talking about those with weekly shows in TBN, or who will sell you a CD of this month's prophecy. I am talking about men who serve as elders in the church, and who will speak with authority regarding the direction of the local assembly. There was the man, who was a pastor of a church, who, before I was saved, and while I was in strong rebellion against God, prophesied to me concerning God's plans for me. I am speaking of those who step up to the crowd on the beach, and preach with power the word of God, who teach the congregation with the power and authority that God gives them. How do they operate? In proportion to their faith, I would suppose. They speak as God gives them words to speak, to the extent that they believe those words to be from God. Love in Christ, Mark |
