AMPLIFIED 2015 | 1 Corinthians 14:24 But if all prophesy [foretelling the future, speaking a new message from God to the people], and an unbeliever or outsider comes in, he is convicted [of his sins] by all, and he is called to account by all [because he can understand what is being said]; |
Bible Question:
Today men and women have tattoo's of all kinds, in highly visible places, and some with sexual overtones, and some naked pictures. The words are sometime's raw in meaning. A number of folks are not christians, and are coming to find about God. No one would turn away those seeking Jesus, or those who just came on just wnating to see what a church is all about. What should we say or do, beyond saying welcome to the House of God? |
Bible Answer: Hi, justme... I don't think that the external appearance of people makes any difference; we do not want to be found guilty of the warning in James 2:1-9. When outsiders come into our midst they should hear the Word of God and see it walked out by all of us. "But if all prophesy [speak the Word of God intelligibly and in clarity], and an unbeliever or an ungifted man enters, he is convicted by all, he is called to account by all; the secrets of his heart are disclosed; and so he will fall on his face and worship God, declaring that God is certainly among you."
