Subject: Why Paul spoke in tongues more. |
Bible Note: Scripture ... Acts 2:6-11, 9:4-6.17-22, 13:1ff, 22:6-16, 26:14-20 ... When the Jews were gathered together for Penetecost, some were from areas the Alexander the Great had conquered. The Bible says they heard their own language (not Greek) (Acts 2:6-11). In the three accounts of Paul's salvation experience in Acts, not once does it mention he spoke in tongues (9:4-6.17-22, 22:6-16, 26:14-20). I believe he spoke in the language of each people group (not Greek) as he went out to proclaim the gospel (Acts 13:1ff). That is why he spoke in tongues more than you all the Corinthians. While I cannot prove this - I think it is logical. |
