Bible Question:
I am less than a year after accepting God into my life. I read the bible alot but I need help on where it says a wife should be there for her husband. I am questioning myself whether or not I am being selfish by not being happy for my wife to go back to Colombia to see her family after 8 years. She is going for the whole summer and we are about to get married. I have to stay here to work and pay the bills. Money is very tight and her tax refund is going to Colombia with her. I have waited so many months to be married and now with 2-3 weeks after, she is leaving for 2 months. Am I selfish? |
Bible Answer: God's day to you, dinofraser, 1 Corinthians 13 is known as The Love Chapter, with the focus on verses 1-7. While it is read at weddings, it applies to all Christians. Love doesn't seek its own (vs 7) means we are not selfish. Is she your fiance (" we are about to get married") or wife? I would advise you both yo talk with your minister. Searcher |
