NASB | 1 Corinthians 13:12 For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face; now I know in part, but then I will know fully just as I also have been fully known. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | 1 Corinthians 13:12 For now [in this time of imperfection] we see in a mirror dimly [a blurred reflection, a riddle, an enigma], but then [when the time of perfection comes we will see reality] face to face. Now I know in part [just in fragments], but then I will know fully, just as I have been fully known [by God]. |
Bible Question: I AM STILL UNCLEAR ABOUT THIS VERSE. i HAVE READ THE ANSWERS THAT SAY WE WILL KNOW EACH OTHER, HOWEVER i HAVE A QUESTION. iF YOU ARE IN HEAVEN AND SEE THE ONES AROUND YOU -- WHAT IF YOU DO NOT SEE ONES YOU LOVED ON EARTH. WOULD NOT THAT BRING SADNESS. i DID NOT THINK THAT THERE WOULD BE ANY SORT OF SADNESS IN HEAVEN. iS THIS WHERE GOD WIPES AWAY THE TEARS AND WE HAVE NO MORE? |
Bible Answer: I believe, all of us, as Christains, are children of God. Without intellectulizing every little word, I except His words on faith. Once an Episcopal Dean's wife said to me, "We as humans are too stupid to understand the immense power of God, so just except and obey". Ever since then, I don't questioned the Words of the Bible, just want to know where they are so that I can answer or comfort others with Scripture instead of my human words trying to explain. Seem shallow? I hope not, I pray for relief and peace from sorrow from my haughty pride. |
