NASB | 1 Corinthians 13:12 For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face; now I know in part, but then I will know fully just as I also have been fully known. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | 1 Corinthians 13:12 For now [in this time of imperfection] we see in a mirror dimly [a blurred reflection, a riddle, an enigma], but then [when the time of perfection comes we will see reality] face to face. Now I know in part [just in fragments], but then I will know fully, just as I have been fully known [by God]. |
Bible Question:
In Heaven will family members know each other? |
Bible Answer: Hi boyceowenby; 1 Cor 13:12 For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face; now I know in part, but then I will know fully just as I also have been fully known. I hope this helps you. I think we can safely assume that "we" can be used in place of "I" in this verse. as Paul is trying to instill this truth into the Corinthians. Although I don't ever really like substituting any words in the Bible. So... then "we" will know just as "we" also have been fully known. I don't know if that answers your question fully. Maybe someone can help with more? God bless stj |
