AMPLIFIED 2015 | 1 Corinthians 13:12 For now [in this time of imperfection] we see in a mirror dimly [a blurred reflection, a riddle, an enigma], but then [when the time of perfection comes we will see reality] face to face. Now I know in part [just in fragments], but then I will know fully, just as I have been fully known [by God]. |
Bible Question: Will I know my love ones when I get to heaven |
Bible Answer: The Bible is silent on this subject so there is no way to know for sure. We can catch a glimpse of the type of relationship that husbands and wives will have in heaven in Matt.22:23-30.Many people have the opinion that they will spend eternity with their wife or husband. Since their is no marrying or giving in marriage in heaven we will not walk heaven's streets hand in hand with an earthly spouse. It's possible we might be able to recognize them but we won't have any more relationship with them than with a christian from China whom we have never met on this side. It's amazing to me how some people long to spend eternity with their loved ones when the most beloved face in heaven will have nail-scarred hands.I'm OK with my loved ones but it's Jesus who I want to see and hang out with. No one's ever loved me like him. |
