Bible Question: How can we relate such to our days since the body of Christ is so vast and and there are so many denominatins in the body of Christ? Also thus this point out to us individually? |
Bible Answer: Hi K James, Thats a good question, and I think that Paul was trying to guard against that very thing, that is, devisions in Christ's body. Today more then ever it seems, we should take the advice in 1 Cor, to heart, as we should all of scripture. God's holy word is just as relevant as ever, and the warnings there in should cut us to our marrow! We must be ever vigilant to search God's word to test all that is being taught, and not take the counsel of man, but of God. Make sure what we hear lines up with scripture, It is vital to our growth in Christ's body. John 15:20 "Remember the word that I said to you, 'A slave is not greater than his master.' If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you; if they kept My word, they will keep yours also. Rev 3:10 'Because you have kept the word of My perseverance, I also will keep you from the hour of testing, that hour which is about to come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth. God bless John |
